Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign
Sustainable Energy Europe is a European Commission initiative in the framework of the Intelligent Energy - Europe (2003-2006) Programme, which will contribute to achieve the European Union's energy policy targets within the fields of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, clean transport and alternative fuels.
EuroCommerce's decision to join the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign lies in the sector's long tradition to serve the cause of sustainable development and act as a responsible actor in the debate. Undeniably the sector is constantly striving to reduce its overall energy consumption as well as encouraging consumers to purchase more energy efficient products. It also commits to continue in this direction in the coming years. As a responsible player, commerce will pursue its good practices and raise awareness among its suppliers and customers on the role each can play to preserve limited natural resources for future generations.
