The Policy Committees
EuroCommerce, through its network in Brussels, is present on every political or technical issue of relevance to the commerce sector.
The position of commerce on technical issues is debated and formed in the various Policy Committees. They are composed of experts appointed by member associations and companies and chaired by a member representative. Advisers are responsible for the day-to-day work of the Committee.
EuroCommerce counts 11 Policy Committees:
• Environment & Logistics
• Food Policy & Consumers
• Fiscal affairs
• Information and Communication Technology
• International Trade, Integration of New Member States and Enlargement
• Internal Market & Consumer Affairs
• Payment Systems
• Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) Policy
• Social Affairs
• Corporate Social Responsibility
A coordination circle supports the work of EuroCommerce on horizontal and political issues. Positions on these issues are approved by the Steering Committee.
