About us

The President: Dr. Rainhardt Freiherr von Leoprechting became the seventh President of EuroCommerce on 1 July 2009.

The General Assembly: Represents all the members, elects and dismisses the President, approves the budget and the admission of full members.

 

The Board of Administration: Reflects the diversity of the full member associations. It appoints the Steering Committee and implements EuroCommerce policy. It approves the admission of affiliated members.

 

The Steering Committee: monitors the management of EuroCommerce, including financial matters, proposes political guidelines to the Board and promotes dialogue with the EU institutions. It is composed of the President and other Board members, ensuring balanced geographical and sectoral representation.

The Secretary General: is responsible for implementing the policies. He supervises the work of the Committees.

The Committees:  The position of commerce on technical issues is debated and formed in the various Policy Committees. They are composed of experts appointed by member associations and companies and chaired by a member representative. Advisers are responsible for the day-to-day work of the Committee.

 

The Coordination Circle: supports the work of EuroCommerce on horizontal and political issues.
